Your Pathway to a Career in Medicine

The Doctor of Medicine program at PHSU School of Medicine BVI offers a clear pathway to study in the BVIs for two years and then apply to complete the final two years in the U.S.

Years 1 & 2

Pre-clinical preperation in Tortola, BVI

Years 3 & 4

Clinical rotations in U.S. or Puerto Rico*

*Students must speak Spanish to be considered for rotations in Puerto Rico

The first two academic years establish a solid pre-clinical base encompassing core disciplines and an introduction to clinical skills, behavioral science, and medical ethics. Our interactive and innovative curriculum helps prepare students for clinical in core specialties during their third and fourth year, plus an additional five months of advanced specialty elective rotations.
