Cost of Attendance

The Cost of Attendance (COA) is a realistic estimate of the anticipated educational expenses a student can expect to incur while enrolled in PHSU SOM BVI Doctor of Medicine Program. All figures are based on typical student’s expense and identified by Award Year. Cost of Attendance budgets are designed for a student to live and support themselves modestly during the instructional time. Some of these expenses will be billed by the school (e.g. Tuition/ Fees/Health Insurance) while others are indirect expenses that students must budget for.

For students applying for private loans, and or the Canadian Loan Program, the total aid granted cannot exceed the COA. Expenses such as mortgage/rent for a second residence or home, credit card debt, car payments, or family support expenses cannot be considered on the COA.
