Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine BVI, the first medical school in the British Virgin Islands, is now accepting applications for their inaugural class. The first cohort for PHSU BVI will begin classes in August 2025 with an anticipated graduation of May 2029. Interested students should review the required entry requirements here before starting the application process.
PHSU is excited to be able to offer several scholarship opportunities including 2 full tuition scholarships for residents of BVI. We look forward to many years working alongside local BVI officials to create a quality experience for our students as well as an enriching experience for the community.
Representatives from PHSU School of Medicine BVI hosted representatives from the Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine (ACCM) ahead of the announcement of the opening of the new medical school in Tortola, BVI. The PHSU SOM BVI team including David Lenihan, PhD, JD, MBA, Chief Executive Officer, Tiber Health, Gino Natalicchio, PhD, President, PHSU, Olga RodrĂguez De Arzola, MD, FAAP, Professor, Dean, and CAO, PHSU-SOM, Juan Acuna, MD, MSC, FACOG, Professor, PHSU SOM BVI, Richard Noel, PhD, Chair, Department of Basic Sciences, PHSU-SOM, Tomas Dardet, President, PRLinks Communication together with Sir Ian Gilmore, MD, FRCP and Dame Jane Dacre, DBE, MD, FRCP of ACCM toured the proposed MD program facilities and met with government officials.
