Your Pathway to a Career in Medicine

The Doctor of Medicine program at PHSU School of Medicine BVI offers a clear pathway to study in the BVIs for two years and then apply to complete the final two years in the U.S.

Years 1 & 2

Pre-clinical preperation in Tortola, BVI

Years 3 & 4

Clinical rotations in U.S. or Puerto Rico*

*Students must speak Spanish to be considered for rotations in Puerto Rico

The first two academic years establish a solid pre-clinical base encompassing core disciplines and an introduction to clinical skills, behavioral science, and medical ethics. Our interactive and innovative curriculum helps prepare students for clinical in core specialties during their third and fourth year, plus an additional five months of advanced specialty elective rotations.

Financing Your Education

PHSU aims to make education affordable for all students. That’s why we offer a variety of scholarships and payment plans to help you finance your education. Our financial resources team is available to work with each student to create a feasible financial strategy so students can focus on learning.

Save Up to $10,000 for Enrolling Early

The Early Enrollment Scholarship is offered to up to 20 new students, first-come-first-served, who enroll before February 15, 2025. Students can qualify for up to $10,000. The list of qualified recipients is provided by the Admissions department. The scholarship will be awarded based on the availability of funds.

Studying to become a medical doctor is our students' #1 priority and providing them with a safe place to do that, is ours. We chose Tortola, BVI due to its low crime rate and tight-knit community, and we're prepared to work with Island officials to regularly evaluate the security needs of our BVI location.
